The Centro Latinoamericano-Suizo (CLS-HSG) is an interdisciplinary research institution of the University of St. Gallen. Its mission is to contribute to the social sciences with insights from the empirical study of the economy, society, and state in Latin America.
Social science research conducted at CLS-HSG focuses on three broad thematic areas - the state and governments, the economy and businesses, and society and specific social actors - with the aim of studying social, economic, and political issues relevant to the region.
